Tyler's first birthday

Tyler is one year old! Time is so strange. In one sense, it feels like ages ago that we were in the hospital with a new baby, but on the other hand, I don't know where the year went! It definitely felt faster than Sam's first year, where we paid attention to him, and only him, ALL of the time. Tyler gets a little gypped sometimes with a 2 year old brother who also needs a fair amount of attention.

We love seeing Tyler's personality continue to develop. Many people get excited when they get a smile out of him, saying that he's usually got a concerned look or a scowl on his face. This is mostly true. He's not an angry child, in fact, he's quite happy, but he does sometimes have a strange way of showing it. When you do get a smile and laugh out of him it's definitely contagious though.
He loves to dance. He's obsessed with Alexa, our amazon echo. He loves playing with his brother, he has 4 teeth and has taken a few tentative steps on his own. We're so glad he's ours. :)

Before people showed up to party we had a trial run for opening gifts.

Lots of family came up to celebrate with us. Sam was great until Tyler started opening presents. He really, really, really wanted to help. AKA he wanted to open all of the presents.

The slide makes a great baby treadmill...

Tyler definitely loved his cake and ice cream.

Sometimes it's crazy to think that these boys are mine forever. Literally forever. And when I do think about it, I realize just how blessed I really am.
Happy birthday Tyler.

Valentines & crazy kids

We've been hanging out on the stairs a lot lately. Tyler learned how to go down backwards about a year and a half faster than Sam, but I still get worried he's gonna take a fall.

This kids is such a goof.

We got something different at cold stone, ice cream on top of chocolate cake, cause I saw a lady had it when we walked in and it was heavenly. Tyler even got his own spoon.

Travis and I went on a date, pizza and the arcade. :)

Travis and I spent the fist part of the month building a bookcase.
Travis has become quite handy with a saw and drill lately and it's been
nice to make some things on our own.

Family date night with the family!

We had a murder mystery party with Travis' family and it was a blast.
1920's high school reunion themed. :)

Valentines day was great. We got to open our gift from Grandma and Grandpa Stradley.
We went to chik-fil-a for dinner, the whole family plus Rachel. It was like a date night
since Sam spent most of the time in the play area instead of at the table.
And Travis got me 5 candy bars. :)

Also, Sam has been attending a little music class and he is not always the most attentive...
