Have your cake and eat it too

Sam is finally showing some interest in toys!

It's fun to watch him interact with things.

I'm photographing a wedding at the Logan temple tomorrow and am totally stoked about it.
I've never done one in Logan, so Sam and I went to the temple
grounds yesterday just to make sure we knew where all the good photo spots were.
He was a huge help. :)

So cute when he's sleeping. ;)

I've been craving brownies for at least a week now, and last night we
watched an episode of Sabrina the teenage witch and she just
happened to be making a ton of brownies.
So afterwards I went to the pantry and to my disappointment,
we didn't have any brownie mix.
But, we had cake mix!
So I made some chocolate cake at 8:30 last night just so I could eat
a piece before I went to bed. Travis didn't want any so I ate it alone.
I am totally my father's daughter.

And here's your laugh for the day
Studio C season 5 starts next month!

Baby laughter

Sam loves rolling to his stomach.
He now stays on his stomach for a long time without getting frustrated.
He has even slept that way. :)

I've also tried sitting him up more.
He just looks so big!

Thanks Rachel for the short photo session up on campus!
You're the BEST.

Here's just a few of my favorites...

Can we count ourselves as true aggies now....?
Here's another video. He's starting to laugh a little more. :)

I love to see the Temple

Travis and I went on a date with the baby (I should
probably just call him Sam) last weekend.
We got aggie ice cream and walked around campus while I took photos.
And Travis got new glasses. What a stud.
(I believe he said that he agrees that he looks like Rocketman with them...I
still think he looks like Rocketman regardless.)

We stop at the gardener's market every Saturday and there is one booth, I
think it's called Food Sense, that always has a new food sample
along with the recipe. Last week's was apple sauce.
So I made my own!
(Don't be fooled by the labeling, I really did make it, we
just save containers and happened to have an apple sauce container.)
It's pretty good--super sweet though.

Sam likes the papoose.
It's nearly a guarantee that he'll fall asleep in it as we're walking.
Even at the temple.

Ogden Temple Open House
Last year there was a student at USU who died while riding his bike down old main hill.
His name is Eric Anderson. I went to middle school with him.  And lived
in the same apartment complex as him our freshman year of college.
As I was up on campus yesterday for a photo shoot I found this memorial for him.

I was just reminded, once again, how fragile our lives are.
I'm so grateful for the Savior, who died for us and was then resurrected so
that we, too, can live again and be with our families for eternity.
I have no greater comfort than that.
Tell people you love them. Often.

Speaking of love and families.
I LOVE this little man (who is growing way too fast)
and his smiles and giggles.
Here's an abundance of joy for you all.

Right before the sneeze...

My favorite grin

And here's a video that's a little too long of one of Sam's favorite games.
