2 Years

2 years and a couple days ago Travis and I got married.
One of the best days ever.
Yesterday we went and spent a night in Park City to celebrate.
We dropped Sam off at my parents and just go to spend some
quality time together. I loved every minute of it.

We went out to eat at a nice restaurant...that we probably would never
recommend to anyone, but it was nice nonetheless. :)

Then we tried to drive around Park City...but the traffic was horrendous.
So we sat in Traffic for a while.
It snowed a lot and it was freezing cold.

Thank goodness we could just head back to the hotel and lounge by the fireplace,
drink hot chocolate and eat a whole bag of little caramel waffle delights.

2 years going on eternity.

Also, for those of you who are familiar with the bench,
we had to get our annual photo.
(OK, I  had to get our annual photo, but Travis humored me.)

Samuel's first Christmas

This Christmas was a different one for us having Samuel around.
I think we were both a little more excited than we would have been.
Not that Samuel understands the concept or gets
terribly excited about presents, but it's still fun to have a child around.

Also, I took a million photos, I'll try not to post them all here.

We spent Christmas Eve with Travis' mom
and had a great time hanging out with family.

Sam got a new toy from Grandma. He loves chewing on it.

Travis had fun entertaining his nieces with a Charlie Brown Christmas. :)

And you can tell these two spend way too much time together
by the fact that they're wearing matching clothes.
Sam was way excited about it.  He thinks Tamara's pretty cool.

We went to a family dinner with the cousins and Sam got to see
Madden again! They were born 12 hours apart and boy have they grown since!

Christmas morning was fun, just the 3 of us at home.
We woke up to a white Christmas! Finally some snow.

Sam was pretty happy and excited.  Usually he just takes a nap in bed with mom
after eating, so anything out of the ordinary is great, especially when dad sticks around.

We filled his stocking with baby food and treats, like little
yogurt bites, which he loves. He swallowed one whole which scared me a bit...

I was excited for this gift! Travis got me lights for my photo business!
And I get to use them next week for some baby photos. I can't wait!

We wrapped a bunch of hand-me-down toys in a box that we painted to look like a car for Sam.
We knew he would love the box as much as the toys.

We had to try out the lights.
Notice our lovely fire on TV? Travis' idea.
Also his idea to stick the space heater by it. :)

We headed down in the snow to Salt Lake to see my family.
We got there first (besides Matthew who essentially lives there.)
so Sam opened a couple presents while there wasn't
so much going on.

 He was spoiled.

Also, he still puts everything in his mouth.
His favorite thing was all the wrapping paper.

It's so fun to see the excitement of all the kids around Christmas time.

I love this time of year.
Family time is the best time.

And here's a short video Travis put together of all the video we took of Sam...

Pre-Christmas Activities

We love this time of year.  Christmas is fun, but really, I think it's
all of the anticipation and family time leading up to Christmas
that's really the greatest.

There are several gingerbread houses around Logan
for some sort of contest so we decided to go vote on
our favorite and walk around main street with all the pretty lights.

This was our favorite gingerbread house and we're pretty sure it will win.
It was actually made by some people that are sort of now related to us. :)

Sam enjoyed being outdoors.  That is the one plus
of not having any snow yet, we are more willing to take Sam outside.
We wore him out in the end.

Travis was gone last week from Monday to Friday on business.
Sam and I went and spent a couple nights with my parents and
visited some friends so that we didn't have to be alone all week.

Of course we had to stop and see Noah. :)

We made sure to send Daddy plenty of photos...

Sam came with me during a photo session
and he was a champ. He even took a nap.
It was so pretty up the canyon, we finally saw some snow!

On Saturday Travis, Colton and their dad went out to Brigham/Corinne
to cut up some trees for Mandy's firewood.
Tamara, Sam and I tagged along and sat in the truck.
Sam seems really anxious to start driving that huge vehicle.

Travis took this the other morning. He's teaching Sam how to
take care of his non-existent teeth already!

The Christmas festivities have begun.
We had a party at Travis' dad's home last night.

The kids (both young and old) got to have an indoor snowball fight...that seemed to be never-ending.

We decorated gingerbread houses which I hadn't done in ages.

Here's our finished product.

Complete with our little family out front.

And here's one of my favorites from the evening.

It's always good to spend time with family.

We're just waitin' around for Christmas now.
Excited to share it with Sam. :)

It did finally started snowing today, and Sam enjoyed watching it.

Also, Sam got an early Christmas Present from one of his
grandparents so we recorded him opening it just because.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
