Christmas 2016 #bestchristmasyet

It snowed on Christmas! Travis says it's snowed on Christmas every year since we've been married. I love white Christmases, but driving in it is a different story. It took us 3 hours to get to my parents and we saw about 8 cars off the road on the way down. So thankful we made it safely.
Sam has enjoyed "helping" mom and dad shovel the snow this month. He's just so cute and fun.

Here's a  look from last year to this year. Same clothes, they just fit better this year, ha ha!

Christmas Eve was spent with Travis' mom.

Colton and Tamara got us the game Wet Head and the boys had fun playing it.

Christmas morning was so much fun. Sam was excited about his presents and excited to see what Tyler got as well. When someone would ask him what Santa brought, he just told them "Oranges." Apparently that's really important. More important than all the thought we put into his toys.

Travis got this selfie in one try. Pretty impressive.

Made it to my parent's after church and had a great time with family and lots of food and toys.

Steven and Sarah have a tradition of celebrating Christmas from a different country/culture every year. This year was an English Christmas. Luckily, Travis and I have started a tradition of using the English crackers at Christmastime that have the little prizes in them.

My mom is also amazing and she surprised us with these ninja turtle beanies that she made.

I love the Christmas season. Spending time with family is one of my favorite things and we had a surplus of it this month. I'm thankful for the reason behind the season, our Savior, His birth, His life and His never-ending example and love.
We have a picture of Jesus with little children in Tyler's room and Sam was looking at it this morning. He said "that's Jesus! With the little kids on his lap." I asked him if he knew if Jesus loved him. He said "Jesus loves me so much." I hope that he always realizes that. Jesus loves us all so much.

Blast from the past

Oldies but goodies. His voice was so cute!

10 months and almost Christmas

How did 10 months fly by so quickly? This little guy is such a joy. He loves to wave, to walk with his walker and to play with Sam's hair. (Which Sam doesn't always enjoy.) This past week he had his first ear infection with a burst ear drum, but thankfully he's feeling better and his smiles and giggles are back.

When Tyler was a newborn until about the time he was 6 months I often wondered what in the world we were thinking having our kids so close together. But as Tyler gets older and they begin to play together, I'm excited for the days where they will be best buddies. Also, this photo melts my heat just a little bit. :)

We're excited for Christmas here. Curtis and Lisa gave the boys some tractors and Sam was so thrilled to have one that looks just like grandpa's. He's been driving it around the house and it's so cute to hear him talk to grandpa, who apparently is the one driving the tractor. (And likes to take naps while driving....?) Ha ha!

Sam was my little helper delivering treats to the neighbors.

We went to the Christmas village in Ogden with Travis' step brother and his family. Sam had a great time with his cousins and riding the trains was definitely his favorite.

We'd promised Sam another bus ride for quite a while, so he and I finally took one and met Travis and Tyler at the mall on saturday morning. I love the simple things that bring children so much joy.

My handball babysitter is back home for the holidays, so I took the boys with me today. Sam enjoys it, Tyler gets a little tired of it after 30 minutes. Playing handball is such a life saver for me. It's my release and I always find that I'm mentally, emotionally and physically healthier. Thankful for Travis' support in helping me do the things that I enjoy.

Sam enjoys doing this little kid's yoga we found. Well, sometimes he does, mostly he ends up watching it. But I got some of his actions on camera the other night.
