Amelia is 2

Amelia is 2!

Happy to have something to celebrate during this crazy time.
Sweet Amelia Olivia. Can't believe she's 2. The past year seems to have flown by. She is a girl who knows what she wants. She's gotten LOUD. She adores her daddy, has the cutest giggle and I love hearing her little voice use so many words now. :) She's spoiled. She gives some great hugs and the best kisses. When we say "Amelia, guess what?" She's quick to respond with "I love you. I love you, more." She also says "thank you" very sweetly and often. (Hope that ones sticks.) She lives to be outside and doing what the big kids are doing.
Happy Birthday baby girl!!

Trying to figure out how to hold up 2 fingers, ha ha!

Travis has a new tradition of hanging streamers from the birthday kid's door. She loved it.

She decided that she didn't like photos today. I had to try so hard to just get a decent photo of her smiling. And of course I had to wait til tablet time was over.

We did a video call with all the grandparents while Amelia opened her presents. It was not as enjoyable as having people over. But it worked and she was so cute showing them what she got.

Blew out one of her two candles by herself. Had trouble with the second one and I think we scared her when we stopped her from touching it a little too loudly. She also helped us sing happy birthday to herself which was darling.

And seriously, I don't know why she decided to try out a bunch of fake smiles today. :)

She's still obsessed with babies. All babies. Even the babies who are bigger than her.

COVID 19 Week 2

2nd week of no school and social distancing went a lot like the first, only with crummier, colder, wetter weather. Stuck to much of the same schedule--school work, tv, tablets, games, hide and seek, basement play time while mom exercises and movies.
For the most part, the kids were still doing great. But by the end of the week, I think they started to realize they needed some space away from each other. It's a big adjustment for all of us.

We made some delicious crepes for dessert one night.

I love watching her become miss independent.

We took advantage of any warm weather and sunshine while we could outside!

And some nice neighbors left this happy treat on our porch.
It really is amazing to see how people respond and come together during these times of uncertainty.
I love the area we live in and the people that surround us.
Travis and I were even able to still have date game night with our friends on the computer. :)

Week 1 of COVID

COVID Week 1

The Corona Virus has got us home from school, work, handball, pickleball, eating out, friend's houses, even visiting grandparents. Thankfully we've had some warm days to get outside a bit. Just so crazy how life went from one thing, being fairly normal, to extreme caution and isolation from others.

These kids haven't seemed terribly affected thankfully.

We have church at home now.
We watch a lot of movies and Bluey on Disney plus.
We watched Frozen 2 about 5 times the first week.
School work was sent home by teachers, so we do some of that every day, but Sam's not a huge fan. And i have no idea how to teach him how to do Math.

Love this girl's hair!!

The boys enjoy a few photos now and then, on their terms. ;) Love their personalities.

Roasting mallows over the stove.

We went rock hunting, for the Aggie Rock, a couple of times. If you find it you get $500. No luck yet, but totally enjoying the time outside.
Not loving this phase of the world, but thankful I get to hang out with these people I love.

The Warmth at the End of the Winter

Warmth at the End of the Winter

It basically felt like summer this weekend, or at least that's what all the kids thought, running around in their short sleeve shirts. We had a whole group in the backyard. So so so excited for summer this year!

We had family photos and then the annual murder mystery party with Travis' family.

Travis & I finally got to go see Dear Evan Hansen down in Salt Lake. We loved it, and it was so great to spend a day with just the two of us. Grateful for parents who are willing to spend time with their grandkids. :)

The boys like to climb in bed with me most mornings, after Travis has left for work, and watch their tablets. We also spent an afternoon at the Kohler's house watching Frozen II. Amelia was quite excited.
