Summer Walks

Travis loves center street in Logan. We try to go walk down there every once in a while cause it's pretty and nice and shady. We had the perk of having a "river" running down the gutter this time. All 3 kids loved it. We also saw a bunch of ducks which Amelia couldn't stop waving at.

She just looks so much bigger now that she's a full time walker!

I've taken the kids to a few movies that they have for cheap during the day. How to Train your dragon 3 and Paddington 2 have been my favorites.

We joined some friends at a pioneer day parade and Sam got a ton of candy.

Kids at our house all the time. :) We've got some pretty great neighbors.

She's just so cute.

Got to shoot at the Salt Lake Temple for the first time in a long time, and probably my last time in 5 years.... Love this couple!

Stradley Family Vacation 2019 | Bear Lake

We had a great time with my family for a week at Bear Lake. My parents rented a cabin where all 25 of us could stay. We showed up a little early on Monday and met my parents for lunch. We spent a little bit of time at a beach close by the cabin. We took family photos that evening.

We spent the next day at the lake. The boys loved it, except they also wanted to go back to the cabin, cause they thought it was so much fun there. Amelia mostly loved it.

Tyler loved going out in the little boats. Uncle Steven was out on one basically all day with kids.

The next day most of the crew went to the Minnetonka caves. I stayed back with Amelia so she could get a good day of naps. (Plus there's no way she would've lasted an hour on those cave tours.) The boys were so excited to tell me about it when they got back. They also said their feet were freezing.

After they got back we went to a little fishing pond nearby and watched some of the cousins attempt to fish.

We celebrated Nelson's first birthday with some games Mary had planned.

Spent another day at the lake.

We had a dance party and talent show that evening. The kids loved it! Some of the talents included somersaults, recorder playing, singing, gymnastics, jokes and baby shark by baby girl, which was pretty cute. And pretty much all of my kids cheated at limbo.

Jared planned a retro night where we played old nintendo games, pokemon, jenga, operation, and had a fruit by the foot eating competition.

The last day we went on a little hike before heading home. Sam complained most of the way.

We've also spent time swimming at Grandma Marble's and playing with friends non stop.

Her hair has gotten so long... She's such a cutie. We love having her around.

I also got to shoot Jamie's wedding the day after we got back from bear lake! And I was so happy to see Emily and her husband there.

4th of July & a Busy Summer

We had a great Independence Day with my family. We always start with breakfast on my dad's side, followed by a water fight, no matter how chilly it might be that morning. This year was on the chillier side, but it was still a great fight.

We spend the evening with my mom's side. BBQ and then to the fireworks. It rained on the end of our BBQ and we almost didn't go to the fireworks due to the weather. Thankfully it cleared up and we made it out there to enjoy the rest of the night. I loved watching the boys watch the fireworks. They were so excited about it all.

What I see and what she sees. :)

Baby mostly enjoyed the fireworks as well.

Last weekend we went up to Tony Grove on our way to find a good picture taking spot at bear lake. I'd never been to Tony Grove and it is gorgeous! I had fun getting some cute photos of the kids of course.

We had a picnic at bear lake and enjoyed some time at a little beach that, due to the waves, sounded like the ocean. Sam is just in love with the water and was in up to his knees before long. Tyler loves throwing rocks in the water. Baby was content just holding some rocks.

The boys finished up swim lessons for the summer. Tyler cried for the first several times, but did good for the most part. Every day he said "I don't want to jump in." So I told him he didn't have to and he did everything else. Sam did great this year and seemed to really enjoy it. Baby and I got to hang out, but she mostly just got bored unless she was eating something.

We also did a few weeks of T-ball. Sam got pretty good at hitting the ball, and we ended up having Tyler hit it left handed, cause he did better. Watching these kids in the field was usually just hilarious.

Summer at our house looks something like this on a regular basis. I love where we live and all the neighbor kids. My boys are blessed to have such awesome friends already.

They are so good to play with her.

Bus ride to summerfest to have a picnic with Travis.

Travis & I try to get in date nights when we can too. Keeps us sane and gives us a chance to have an uninterrupted conversation. :)

Donut bike rides, aggie ice cream, farmers markets, picnics, splash pads and parks.
We Love Summer.

One of my favorite things that she does to me right now.
