Toddlers and Photos

Getting a decent photo of your kid can be challenging. You know, that one photo that you
want to get of your child to hang in grandma's house where they're simply looking
at the camera and smiling, or at least not crying or pulling some wacky face. I tried to
get that photo for my mom last weekend at my brother's wedding. Sam would not cooperate.
So after church today, we tried again.
Although he was still not willing to cooperate (according to my standards,) we ended up
with some great personality shots (plus I think he's cute all the time) and even a winning shot.
Here's to all the mom's trying to get a good photo of their child. Ha ha!

And the winner is....

M&M Wedding Day

These two love birds got married on Saturday. It was a good, long day.
I'm so happy for them, and I think we're all excited to officially have Mary in the family.

It was great to spend the weekend with all of the family. These cousins are so much fun together.
And they're all darling in their wedding outfits.

My boys may have summed up how we all felt at one point or
another during the day in these two photographs... ;)

It was a super hot day, even with the slight cloud coverage.

I took photos of all my sibling's families as well as individuals
of their kids. Here's a few of my favorites.

Sam was definitely the hardest to photograph. He didn't cooperate at all, of course.
I asked him to give me his biggest smile, the above photo was the result.

Tyler, on the other hand, was a natural in front of the camera.

This is seriously his face about 87% of the time...
and he basically looks like a little old man. But a cute one.

I didn't get a photo of mom and dad (sorry!) or Mary and Matthew on their
wedding day, so here's another one from their formal session.

I'm so thankful for temples and the promise we have of living with our families forever. I can't imagine life without all of these people in it. I love them all and am thankful for the things that they have taught me throughout my life. It's a great journey with them.

Also, here's the family band if you missed it. :)
