Moments

During Tyler's first year, I pulled my camera out at least once a month so I could take photos of him. They change so much that first year.
Now that he's one and I have no plans to take photos on the 18th of each month, I don't get my camera out as often. I decided to pull it out yesterday and capture a few more memories of these little boys. Tyler was less than excited. So after a few shots, I put it away until later, hoping he'd be happier. But I still love the images I got. Not all moments are happy in life. For all of us. Kids just seem to be able to express that more easily than adults at times.

When Tyler was born, Sam was 20 months old. I had a really tough time adjusting to 2 kids.
They were both needy, Tyler more so, and I wondered what on earth we were thinking.
As they have gotten a year older and are starting to play together, I wouldn't change a thing.

Lately Tyler has enjoyed it when we growl like dinosaurs at him. He'll put his arms up like this and just laugh, giving us an occasional roar himself.

We had 4 picnics in the space of a week with the warm weather and spent a ton of time outside.
Travis and I went to see Beauty and the Beat opening night and it was wonderful!
We bought a bike trailer and I have been loving having it so much. The boys enjoy riding and it keeps them contained and I get some exercise and we're outside. It's like a win-win-win-win!
We also have continued working on some projects for our home--Travis made a shelf/coat rack
and I painted it.

This is Sam's favorite story right now. We read it every night before bed. He can now read it to us. :)

Crystal Hot Springs on a nice Spring Day

This past week was amazing because we got to spend half of it outside in the warm weather, and some of that time was spent at the park! There's still a little snow there, but Sam didn't seem to mind so whatever. I have never been so excited for spring. I'm ready to pull out the shorts and put the winter clothes away.

We've been getting Sam used to the idea of using a toilet in prep for potty training, but he's not really interested. Mentally I think he's ready. I mean, he tells me every time he's going in his diaper. We thought maybe, since he enjoys doing anything Tyler is doing, he might want to sit on the toilet if Tyler was. It didn't really help, but it was a good photo op.

Sam finally got his bike out and gave it a try. He continues to do so on occasion and is getting better every time. This has allowed Tyler to get some use on the scooter which he also enjoys. :)

We took grandma out to dinner for her birthday.

Rach got Tyler some glow sticks for his birthday, and the boys had a blast in the pantry.

We failed miserably at getting a sitter for the kids for date night the other week, so we took them to dinner and then went to one of the bounce houses in town where Sam had the best time and keeps asking to go back.

I took the boys to the annual Brigham Implement breakfast (which is now a lunch) with Curtis and Lisa. All Sam talked about for days after was the tractors.

With the warmer weather we've gone on a wagon ride about every day.
Sam really enjoys pulling Tyler along.

Tyler is going to enjoy the park much more this year than he did last year.

We decided to take a sporadic trip to Crystal Hot Springs on Saturday afternoon.
It was the perfect day for it.

Here's some great laughs from Tyler. Sam used to enjoy doing the same thing with doors.

And if you want to watch popcorn popping in slow motion, Travis has got you covered with this video. It's like 2 minutes long to see them all pop though.
