9 months

9 months old!! About as happy as ever. She started "crawling" a few days ago!
We love how she waves bye-bye. Her favorite thing to play with is people's hair and
her laugh and massive squinty-eyed smile are some of the cutest things ever.

Lately she's been reminding us a lot of baby Sam.
Her laugh and open mouth to start with. :)

Christmas!

We had a pretty great Christmas this year.
Spent Christmas Eve with Travis' mom and his family. The boys LOVED their gifts.
PJ Masks are a current favorite at our house.

We had our traditional opening of a book on Christmas Eve at our home.

On Christmas morning, Sam was sleeping on our floor, but Tyler (amazingly) had stayed in his bed all night long. So when Sam woke up we told him he could go Tyler up. It was so cute, Tyler was so excited, "It's Christmas!!!" He didn't even come in to see us, he was booking it straight down the stairs. :)

We got them these roller coaster toys, so instead of wrapping them, we had a string going from a tree, around the house, down to the basement. Tyler didn't quite get it, but Sam did. I also fell down the stairs with baby, so we didn't get to see their initial reaction, but we're assuming it was a happy one.

We decided to make sure the toys worked before Christmas morning...

After a couple of hours of playing with new toys we headed down to my parent's house.

So many children.

Tyler was so excited that his present was ginormous.
Sam was literally freaking out with excitement when he saw the incredible action figures that he got from grandma and grandpa.

Always try to meet up with Amanda & Walker when they're in town from Washington.
This year we got to see Steph Pants and her family too!

I photographed Steven & Sarah and Sarah's family the day after Christmas, so I took some photos of my family at the end of course. My mom got everyone plaid shirts for Christmas.

And we just love her fluffy hair. :)

6 years

The bench tradition continues. :)  6 years.
I love this life we've made together. It has it's ups and downs. We are in a time where we struggle
with parenting and basically have no idea what we're doing. These kids can be so independent
and defiant, unless they "need" you for something, then they become the least independent people on the face of the planet. They are testers of patience. Thankfully, it seems for the most part, Travis and I take turns losing our patience so there's at least some sort of order in the house most of the time.
But despite all of that, we love them, and I wouldn't change any of the past 6 years for anything.
These people are my whole world, I love them, I'm thankful for them daily.
I hope we have many more years to take this photo.
Lucky for us we haven't moved very far from the bench.
