Covid Week 6

Covid Week 6

We had some fun in the yard this week! Boys enjoyed the sprinkler again.

Dad built an awesome tent in the backyard for some shade.

We even got to play with our neighbors through the fence for a little while. :)

I got bored and bought some hair chalk. Not in love with it at all, but it was fun. The kids liked it.

Made some ice cream.

Matthew & Mary created a 3 day virtual scavenger hunt for their families and we were determined to win. We did A LOT of things in those 3 days. It was fun and exhausting. And we didn't win. But we tied for second.

We brought the tent inside for movie night.

Amelia is just the cutest 2 year old. She loves to hang out in her closet with mom or dad and lay under the shelf.

We did run out to Grandma Marble's house on Sunday so the boys could swim and have a picnic.

And this week's cake was a marble cake.

Covid week 5

Covid Week 5

It snowed again this week. That was a bummer after the nice weather we'd had.
We've finally gotten into a really good school work rhythm thanks to Sam's teacher, Ms. Morris, and her videos and such online.

We spent a lot of time indoors again this week. Watched plenty of movies--well, mostly we watched Onward over and over again, with a few movies mixed in. The kids, especially the boys, love that movie. We've gone on several "quests" for phoenix gems. Dandelions were phoenix gems one day, and now that's what Amelia always calls them. :)

Stacey got bored and rearranged the boys beds.

Shadows on the wall.

Stacey finally made this cake she's been wanting to make for months. We dropped a piece off to the Meachams, Fenns and Smiths for game night.

Saturday was glorious weather! Everyone was out doing yard work and such. We rode our bikes to get Subway and Panda take out and then to the pickleball park for a picnic and some playing time. It was just fun to be out doing something normal.

Tyler's angry eyes are still adorable. Amelia likes to drink the ranch.

COVID 19 week 4 & Easter

Easter Week

These kids melt my heart! I love them to pieces. Did a little pre easter photo shoot with our colorful door. They are good sports...most of the time. ;) Also, Amelia giving Tyler a kiss down there! 🖤

And when Tyler tried to give Sam a kiss, ha ha!

We spent most of the week outside! SUCH nice weather! Our neighbor gave us a snow cone machine she was getting rid of and the kids have loved that. Water table, soccer, mother may i, pirates, colored eggs, tag, chalk, sandbox, picnics, walks, bike rides--we've done it all. So thankful we've been able to be outside.

Took Amelia on a bike ride to pick up Travis' seeds for the garden. Also first time french braiding Amelia's hair. Also I did my hair like hers one day and we tried to take a photo, but she didn't like it.

Dyed eggs with the boys. They had a great time.

Easter Egg hunt indoors on Saturday. Amelia didn't care much to look for many eggs. Just wanted to eat the candy.

Dad built another awesome fort.

Kids had a good Easter morning. This little cutie didn't wanna hold still for a photo...again.

Except with dad. She was happy as can be to sit with him and smile. She cried when I tried to get a photo with her. She finally smiled as she was reading a book with me.

Grandma and Grandpa Stradley drove up to give the kids a few Easter gifts. We chatted with them 6 feet away in the backyard for a few minutes. The kids loved the bubbles. :)

Travis' sourdough started exploded all over his computer...
And my makeshift mask for my grocery shopping trip. :) Staying safe.

Covid week 3

Covid 19 Week 3

We survived another week of social distancing. I feel like this week was a bit smoother for the most part. We're learning. Growing in patience. The boys still amaze me.

Started the week with the last day of school before "spring break." Sam's teacher, Ms. Morris, did a video call with all of her class and it was cute to hear all the little kids excited to say hi to one another.
The start of spring break was a snowy day. :(

Amelia received the rest of her birthday presents in the mail from grandparents.

I exercise in the basement while the kids play.

Travis made these cute little fire spirit lizards from frozen 2 because Tyler really wanted to buy one. He's amazing. The boys also wanted to count their money, so I used that as a chance to do some "schoolwork" and have them sort and count.

Finally had some nice weather. Went on a bike ride to Von Bear Park. Tyler didn't wear any shoes apparently, so I mostly had to carry him around.

Amelia is a full blown 2 year old, but still so cute! I love all the words she's been using, even getting them into little sentences. :)
