95 and counting

This sweet lady that I am privileged to call Grandma turned 95 years old last week.
So we had a party/lunch at Archibald's.
It was so fun to be with family and to see just part of what started with two people.

It got a little crazy with all the small children there, but not terrible.
And I thought Sam did surprisingly well. (Travis did have him most of the time though...)

I love my family.  And Grandma Stradley is such an example of faith, love and endurance.

In other news, Sam celebrated his first St. Patrick's day...
which just meant he wore green that day.

This photo below makes it look like he loves his new walker toy, but in reality
he only plays with it a couple times a day and he doesn't know how to turn,
so when he hits a dead end he's finished.  It's still cute to watch him
walk independent of us.

And, we did some yardwork this week, which Sam decided to try and undo by taking
the weeds OUT of the bucket after we put them IN.

Happy 9 months to Sam

9 months.  That's how long it's been since Sam entered our lives.
Travis and I were talking last night about how it's been the longest, yet shortest 9 months of
our lives.  I can't believe how much they change in such a short amount of time.

I love spending my days with this child.  (I also love
getting out on my own occasionally as well.)  He keeps me busy.

We went to the annual Brigham Implement Breakfast with Travis'
family and Sam got to try out the Tractor.

Oliver is catching up to Sam pretty quick. Both so cute. :)

Sam came with us on our impromptu date night on Saturday.  We went to Cafe Sabor.
Never again.  It's not that he was bad...it's just that he pooped all over himself.

He can always come grocery shopping with me though. :)

We had some more visitors at the Marble hotel last week--my childhood friends
Alyssa and Crystal.  It was so great to see them.  It's really amazing we're
still friends considering they moved away when we were still pretty young.

And Travis wanted to make something sweet on Sunday, and he also decided
to document it.  So here's our delicious shortbread cookies.

Baby food jars come in handy for lots of things.

Sam was a huge help.

The recipe suggests to dip them in chocolate, and why not?
Everything's better dipped in chocolate.

Travis tried the rolling technique, which left this one on the right looking like a person with hair.
By the way, they were delicious.

Anyway, happy 9 months to my baby boy!
Not such a baby anymore--cruising & climbing up the stairs.

Sam, and new job and more or Sam

I feel like life has been really busy lately, and at the same time
I feel like nothing has happened.
Big news, Travis accepted a new job here in Logan, he starts in a week so that will
be interesting. I'm excited for him and his new opportunities.

I've had several people book me for some weddings in May
which I am so grateful for--it's been a while since I've had photos to edit.

Really, this little man is just keeping me busy.  He's growing so fast.
Here's a ton of random photos.

He sometimes falls asleep after he's been sitting up in his crib, it looks awfully uncomfortable.

Oh yeah, we had a surprise party for Travis' mom. Tamara and I spent a
couple of hours making this awesome cake.

Oh yes...and Sam learned how to climb the stairs last week. Oh boy.
