Marathons and Family Fun

It's been a little while--and this past month has been busy!

We ended September with the Top of Utah marathon.
Ryan ran solo this year and did an awesome job! He looked great coming in!
It was fun to go cheer him on.  And fun to have some family in town.

If that's not motivation, I don't know what is

Sam has been doing great!
4 months old tomorrow!

He is growing up too fast--likes to sit up, talk, stand, rolls over and is
just about ready to crawl...not sure if we're ready for a mobile child.

He just keeps getting cuter though.

Almost time for a hair cut :)

Last weekend we went to St. George for the marathon like we do every year.

Sam did the mayor's walk with us. We coordinated
and all wore blue jackets. (I just noticed that.)

We stood at the finish line forever cheering all the
crazy runners on.

Steven is probably the best at cheering.
Sam was definitely the worst at cheering.

And all the short people had to stand on the fence to see over it.
;)

Matthew ran his best race ever with a time of 2.53!
He was flying and looked great as he came in.

Dad was next, and he had too much energy at the end--he started
sprinting when he found out Matthew had accomplished his
goal of qualifying for the Boston marathon.
If any of his kids had done that he would tell them that
they ran the rest of the race too slow.
But he had a good race as well.

Dad always has the best faces when he's feeling good at the end of a race.

Andrew came in next, but unfortunately I didn't get a photo of him
because I was taking care of my baby.
Good job though Andrew!

We had some fun pool time.
Kids just love hotels. When we first arrived at the hotel,
we hadn't even got into our rooms yet and Anne, age 5 yells,
"This is SO fun!!!" Cracked me up.

Travis had fun throwing kids around.
I think his arms were sore the next day...

Just chillin' in the hotel....aka being distracted by the baby during General Conference.

Sam came to handball with me this week because his
babysitter was out of commission.
But they guys love to watch him, and he's so good for them.

Fall is here! I love Logan, especially during this time of year.

We went on a walk last night to enjoy the colors.
Sam loves looking at the trees...and everything else. :)

Sorry for the longest blog post in the world.
Also, it took me all day to write this post because of this...

I still think he's adorable.
